What happens to my data if I downgrade?
Your secrets stay fully encrypted and intact. Downgrading to Starter disables plan-only features like shared vaults, audit exports, and team roles — but you can export an encrypted backup before downgrading and nothing is deleted automatically.
Does my master password affect billing?
No. Your master password is used only for local vault decryption and never reaches our servers. Billing is tied to your account email only. Changing or losing your master password has no effect on your plan or subscription status.
Can I share individual secrets without a Team plan?
Yes — any account can share an individual secret with another Vaultove user, on every plan. Each shared secret is encrypted with its own key, wrapped to the recipient, so sharing one item never exposes the rest of your vault. Team-only features are role-based workspace access, shared record groups, and full audit export.
